to public transportation, about 25 minutes from center city. There are
many restaurants and shopping centers within walking distance. I am on a
quiet dead end street with a garden and 3 decks. There is street parking
in front of house. I have an African Grey Parrot named Watson who loves to
talk.

We live in a historic English Tudor
Townhouse in Philadelphia located 10 minutes from Center City Philadelphia
by car or train (SEPTA train station is one block from house). We have a
large guest bedroom with a queen size bed and sectional sofa so 2-3 people
can sleep comfortably. Philadelphia is commonly referred to as the
"City of Brotherly Love" and is the cradle of history to much of
America's past. Independence Hall, The Liberty Bell, The Betsy Ross House,
Benjamin Franklin's Residence and Old City are areas rich with history.
Philadelphia is plentiful with culture & art. The Philadelphia Museum
of Art, The Franklin Institute Science Museum, The Rodin Museum, The
Academy of Natural Sciences are highlights not to be missed. And for
theatre-lovers, Broadway is on tour in Philadelphia with shows like
"Momma Mia," "Aida," "Guys & Dolls,"
"The Rocky Horror Show," "Music Man," "South
Pacific," "The Who's Tommy," and "Kiss Me Kate"
all coming to The Merrim Theatre and The Forrest Theatre during their
2001-2002 season. Philly is going through a restaurant renaissance, so if
you love good food & fine dining, there's lots of great choices. Gay
nightlife is "happening" with Woody's, 12th Air Command and
Shampoo on Friday nights. Philadelphia draws a diverse gay following of
many ethnic backgrounds including Italian, Irish, Jewish &
African-American. Many professionals have chosen Philadelphia as their
home, so much of the gay "scene" is 30-40 year olds. However, if
you are 20-Something, Philly's gay scene will appeal to you too. More than
20 colleges surround the Philadelphia metro area drawing lots of younger
gays to the Center City nightlife as well. There is truly something for
everyone. Philadelphia is also conveniently located for daytrips to the
beach, mountains and even New York City.
