Lovely ocean view apartment in Hawaii on
the Big Island. We are interested in a home exchange in April-May, 2007
for about two weeks. We are two non-smoking, quiet, tidy, retired,
professional women. Financially and socially responsible. Will care for
plants and pets. We are experienced home exchangers who can provide
references from places we have stayed. This is a lovely area of old
Hawaii. Walk to a black sand beach. Down the road from the exceptional
warm ocean side pools, papaya groves, orchid farms, etc. Pahoa is 15
minutes away where there are many good restaurants, grocery, etc. Hawaii
cultural activities center one mile away with hula and crafts instruction,
restaurant, and massage. We must travel April/May, but as this is our
second home, exchange may be non-simultaneous.

Owen & Gary;
We would like to trade our beautiful new 3 bedroom 3
bath Maui home with central AC for a large Manhattan apartment Apr. 15
thru Oct. 15, 2005. We are open to a 6 month or two 3 month trades (April
15-July 15 and July 15-Oct.15, 2005). We will be in New York for Owen's
surgery and rehabilitation to straighten and heal his leg which was
injured in an accident. We would like a Manhattan location near bus
transportation to the clinic on the Upper East Side. Our home is 4 blocks
from some of the most spectacular beaches in the world, and it is close to
shopping and restaurants. Some of the best golf courses anywhere are a
short drive away. The weather is always perfect. The large master suite
features a big closet and a corner tub with a garden view. In the yard you
can pick your own bananas, papayas and mangoes. The beautiful garden is
automatically watered and regularly maintained. We are reluctant to leave
our home in paradise, but the prospect for Owen to walk again without
crutches will take us to New York City.

The condo is located in a gated
residential community in a lush valley on the west side of Oahu (about 1
hour from Honolulu). Although not a resort, it has many of the amenities
of one - with two golf courses next door, two pools on site, one mile from
great beaches, and magnificent marine and outdoor sports. Still you can be
in Waikiki's lively gay (and straight) nightlife or shopping scene in an
hour by car (or even use the public bus - door-to-door) saving big bucks
on a rental vehicle. The condo is clean, spacious but has only the basic
necessities. There are Japanese style floor futons instead of beds (there
is a sofa-bed in the LR); light and airy, there is a partial ocean view
from the wide balcony of this ground floor end unit. See website for pix
