We are Marc and André. We live in a nice 2 storied house in beautiful Québec City. The old part of town is less than 10 minutes from home. Even though we have a very snowy winter, we have a very nice and warm summer season. Great shopping, bars and French restaurants. We have great clubs if you are into that. We work hard and spent most of our free time with friends. I, Marc am an architect for the local health agency. André has his own massage therapy business, and he's great at it! We both love good food and we have a wonderful kitchen. We are planning a five month trip to Europe from may thru September 2007, so our house will be available during that period. My apartment is a large one bedroom in a unique store front building. very unassuming from the outside and practically impregnable. It has a very large kitchen with French doors to a sundeck and courtyard. the living room is pictured here and the bedroom is large with a small walk in closet. there are two other units in the large Victorian house with a jewelry store in front on a main st. very close to downtown and all gay bars. About a ten minute walk from the gay village. My apartment is located within the Cabbagetown neighborhood. it has an almost small town feel with a very diverse population. great stores and restaurants, parks and even a farm with cows and horses about 5 min down the road in the middle of the city.

The building is a California-style condominium with outdoor hallways and entrances (breezeways) and has the feeling of townhouses rather than apartments, an architectural style made possible by our mild climate.

The elevator also opens onto outside (but covered) hallways. All four levels look over a lush and serene courtyard, a true urban oasis filled with various types of plants and trees.

We are steps away from Coal Harbour, Yaletown, and the beaches of English Bay.

From this location, visitors can easily access everything that most people want to see or do when in Vancouver, and when you're ready for some quiet time, you can relax on the sunny balcony, and enjoy the peace and quiet of this residential neighbourhood.

The suite's decor was chosen to create a comfortable and inviting living space including warm and welcoming colours in the main living areas and then cool and refreshing tones in both the kitchen and bath.

The suite's floor plan is excellent as there is no wasted space. Very little space is used for the hallway, thereby allowing a large living and dining room, bedroom, and bathroom. The kitchen is on the small side but totally workable. The balcony is also a good size, especially by urban standards, and can easily accommodate two people. We have spent summer evenings out there with a total of four people (including us), and while a bit close, it works, but two or three people is ideal for maximum comfort and space.

I live in the middle of the lively artist community and queer neighborhood, the West End. My apartment is 2 blocks from restaurants, grocery stores, pharmacies, video stores. We have a great transit system so you will not need a car. I also live 2 blocks from the beach and the biggest park in the city, Stanley Park.

I have a TV, DVD player, lots of English movies, satellite TV, high-speed Internet connection, washer/dryer across the hall, oven, microwave, queen sized bed and would be happy to send pictures of my apartment and the neighborhood.

We have two apartments - one bedroom each - and a one bedroom condo in Whistler. All are in beautiful, up-scale buildings. Both are well-decorated and tastefully furnished. One apartment is on the 28th floor with magnificent ocean, mountain and city views of Vancouver. Our two city apartments are close to the city center and to some of the best restaurants in North America. Clubs, the symphony, to ballet, theatre and opera are all close by. We're a few minutes walk beaches (the gay beaches are about half an hour away) and the 1000 acre Stanley Park. Shopping is close by and excellent. The choice is immense. Whether your taste runs to top designer labels or the good old Gap and Banana Republic, they are all here. Vancouver is a laid back, very gay-friendly city, consistently voted as the best city in the world to live by a number of international organizations. Getting out of the city is easy. The mountains surrounding the city are 10 minutes drive away and provide great hiking. Whistler is 1 1/2 hours. It's ranked as a top ski report and in the summer offers great hiking, sailing, biking and sunning!

The weather? Summers are warm and dry - around 20C-25C (68F-75F). Winters cool but there are rarely any freezing temperatures and little or no snow in the city.

There are good museums, a thriving Chinatown and the city is a real cultural mosaic.

Air travel into Vancouver is easy. The international airport (rated one of the top 10 in the world for passenger services), is linked to major US, European and Asian cities.

Walking distance to gay bars and pubs, Rideau Center (Shopping mall), Parliament Hill, Rideau Canal, National Gallery, Royal Mint and many other tourist sites. Free parking on the street, bus route two blocks away. Nude gay beach 15 minutes away.

Smokers accommodated but please smoke on the deck, not in the house.
